Colorado State vs. Colorado -- The Rocky Mountain Showdown
 
Events planned for this week:
- CSU-CU Showdown Classic Golf Tournament; Monday, Aug. 27; Lakewood Country Club; 11:30 a.m. registration; Call 970-491-7285 for reservations. Space is limited.
- Coors Light Sonny Lubick Radio Show; Stone House Grille; Wednesday, Aug. 29, 7 p.m. The head coach of the Rams previews the Qwest Rocky Mountain Showdown.
- Green & Gold Day on the 16th Street Mall (Skyline Park-16th & Arapahoe); Friday, Aug. 31; 11:30 a.m. Join CSU President Larry Penley, Athletics Director Paul Kowalczyk, men's basketball coach Tim Miles, Cam the Ram, CSU spirit squad members, former players and special guests. Event is free. The event will be emceed by Rich Bircumshaw, voice of the Rams. Free lunch from Qdoba coupons for the first 300 Ram fans.
- ASCSU Student Barbecue; The Plaza; 11:30 a.m. Coach Sonny Lubick and the team as well as volleyball coach Tom Hilbert and his team, and the pep band plus CSU spirit squad members will be on hand.
- Qwest Rocky Mountain Showdown Ram Pep Rally; LoDo's Bar and Grill, 1946 Market St.; Friday, Aug. 31; 5:30-7:30 p.m.; Denver. Join the CSU Alumni Association, cheerleaders, fans and friends, as well as CSU President Larry Penley, Athletics Director Paul Kowalczyk, and Cam the Ram. Not to mention, musician Dave Kimball, a diehard CSU fan, will be performing! The event is free and no registration is required.
- CSU Tailgate Party; INVESCO parking lot; Saturday, Sept. 1; 7:30-9:30 a.m. Reservations must be made in advance by calling 800-286-2586. The CSU marching band, Rams cheerleaders, Cam the Ram, and a variety of guest speakers will have you ready for the game. Cost is only $8 for alumni association members, $10 for non-members and includes breakfast. Register online at www.blacktie-colorado.com/rsvp; event code is 2007tailgate.
