Signed a letter of intent February 1. Pauga attended CSU's elite summer camp, and also camped at Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and BYU. He also drew recruiting interest from Stanford, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, and Illinois.

Pauga was the only junior defensive player to be named Colorado Class 4A all-state while posting 65 tackles and nine sacks. He will likely play linebacker at CSU.
