Signed a letter of intent February 1. Griffith spurned offers from Utah and San Diego State to commit to CSU and also was being recruited by CU, Arizona, Cal, Oregon, Washington, UCLA, Stanford, and Oregon State.

Visited CSU in early December and had a visit to SDSU lined up for January 6, but when the Aztecs rescheduled it for a week later, Griffith committed to CSU because he knew the Rams were running low on scholarships. Griffith was one of the standouts at the SoCal Nike camp, and reportedly has good feet and quickness. He will likely have to redshirt and take time to add size before playing at CSU.
