Signed a letter of intent February 1. Prior to committing to Colorado State, Eaton received interest from CU, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Iowa State, Kansas State, Texas, and Utah.

Eaton became CSU's second known verbal commitment for the 2006 class. He recorded 80 tackles, three interceptions and three fumble recoveries during his junior season last fall. He is considered a versatile athlete who could play several positions on both sides of the ball, including linebacker, safety, defensive end, or tight end. Eaton made his official campus visit December 10-11 and reaffirmed his commitment.
He recently was named second-team All-State, All-Conference, and All-Area by the Rocky Mountain News. Prep Star also named him All-Region, and he was in contention for All-American honors as well.
