2007-08 Basketball Commitments

Notes:

* Stephen Franklin signed during the April 2007 signing period. He was an all-Colorado player at Aurora Central, and considered one of the state's top prospects.

** Willis Gardner signed in May 2007. Gardner played his first season of college basketball at Luzerne County Community College (Nanticoke, Pa.) before transfering to Ohlone College (Fremont, Calif.) his sophomore season. He will have two years of eligibility at CSU.

^ Andy Ogide is a transfer from Ole Miss where he played one season. He will have to sit out a season per NCAA rules, but will have three years of eligibility at CSU beginning in the 2008-09 season.

^^ Donte Poole signed during the April 2007 signing period following the coaching change.

% Josh Simmons hails from Houston-Spring Westield High School in Houston. He committed to coach Tim Miles this spring.

%% Dan Vandervieren played one season at Purdue, and will have three years of eligibility at CSU. He must sit out a year per NCAA transfer rules, so he will be eligible for the 2008-09 season.

$ Marcus Walker began his collegiate career at Nebraska, playing for a year before transferring to Indian Hills CC. He will have two years of eligibility at CSU.

$$ Jesse Woodard signed during the November 2006 signing period and has honored his commitment following the coaching change.

Former CSU commits Shane Edwards and Omar Leary, both juco transfers from Northeastern Junior College (Sterling, Colo.), were released from their LOI commitments following the Rams' coaching change in March. Edwards, who prepped at Mountain Pointe H.S. in Gilbert, Ariz. and played two years at NJC, has committed to Arkansas-Little Rock. Leary, who also played two years at NJC, has committed to Oklahoma.
