The world seems to be a buzz about Kapri Bibbs these days, but as much as Ram fans are excited about the potential of having Bibbs in Fort Collins, there is also the realization that Bibbs is no longer an unknown commodity. Bibbs is going to be getting a lot of phone calls this week, but so far he is sticking to his commitment. That is not the case with Darius Johnson from Dr. Phillips High School. Johnson is looking for more offers according to the Orlando Sentinel.

There also remains the question of Tommey Morris from Odessa, Texas Permian High School. Morris remains suspended from game play, but is back practicing after a brush with the law.

While not getting the attention of Bibbs, Davon Riddick of Abilene, Texas Cooper High School is putting up a nice average. Riddick had 170 yards on 10 carries Friday night. Riddick does not get as many carries as feature back would normally, but he is averaging 9.3 yards a carry through six games for one of the top teams in Texas. Cooper (6-0) heads into a game next week against Permian (4-2).

There will be no angels getting their wings in Fort Collins as Cape Coral, Florida Island Coast High School defensive end Jimmy Stewart committed to Maryland. Stewart is teammates with an also famously named Ram commit, Bryan Bosworth. Stewart had offers from CSU, Utah State, and Maryland.

Future Ram placekicker Keenan Adams of Bainbridge, Georgia has been put on the shelf for the season. Adams was taken off the field after a roughing the punter penalty in a game earlier this year, and won’t be returning from his leg trauma. Adams is still planning on trying to enroll in time for spring practice.

Give it to the CSU coaches for realizing the importance of building depth on the defensive line. CSU will be losing senior starting defensive tackles Guy Miller and Ty Whittier, as well as reserve Adam Seymore after graduation. CSU, in need of some size, has offered junior college lineman Josh Thompson (6’2”/280lbs) of Hutchinson (KS) Community College. Thompson is from Charlotte, North Carolina where he originally signed with William & Mary out of high school. After redshirting at William & Mary, Thompson left due to academics. After seeking treatment for ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), he made a go of it for Hutchinson, but had to sit out last season. Since making the Dean’s List at Hutchinson last year he has risen to starting defensive tackle and earned eight scholarships offers. In addition to CSU, Troy, North Texas, Southern Mississippi, Louisiana Tech, Ohio, and UAB have offered Thompson.
