Hoops scouting report: Rams hope Wonder Boys’ powers “deactivate” in non-conference finale
|
December 30, 2005
They may sound like old-school Saturday morning “Super Friends” cartoons hailing from the Hall of Justice, but the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys won’t be using their powers to form a pail of water or turn into a fierce animal Friday night when they visit Colorado State’s Moby Arena. They’ll instead try to do what they do best--knock down a bunch of threes--in an attempt to beat the Rams. The Division II Wonder Boys (9-1) serve as the Rams’ final non-conference tuneup before Mountain West Conference play begins January 2.

Rams out-race, outlast Mountain Lions 106-80
|
December 28, 2005
It was an offensive showcase for sure. It was also a defensive effort that could be described as very offensive, and it had the feeling of an intramural tussle between the Sigma Chi’s and the Kappa Sigma’s. In a game that held little artistic or competitive promise, the Colorado State Rams moved their 2005-06 record to 10-2 with a 106-80 beating of the visiting University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Mountain Lions before 3,087 fans at Moby Arena.

Hoops scouting report: Rams to sharpen horns prior to entering MWC schedule
|
December 28, 2005
After a formidable stretch, the Colorado State Rams get somewhat of a breather this week as they host a pair of Division II schools at Moby Arena prior to entering Mountain West Conference play January 2. First up is the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Mountain Lions tonight followed by the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys on Friday. The games should merely be a tune-up and an opportunity for the Rams to improve their record to 11-2 heading into league play.
