From what I've learned as a pooldeck/patio owner, it's better to stain raw
concrete. The colors need to absorb. Paint will dry on the surface and
crack/peel.

But your main concept is valid. Get the art school and construction mngt.
folks to pick some colors and then get it done.

Something natural/earth-tone to match with the setting, but with some pop.
