This photo was sent to us by Major D.J. Fennell, who organized a Rocky Mountain Showdown viewing party with about 25 fellow Marines currently serving in Iraq. Among the group were six CSU alumni/students and four CU alumni/students and current. They watched the game via the Armed Forces Network at 2:30 a.m. Monday morning. This picture was taken at halftime, when the Rams trailed 21-14. Depicted in the photo from left to right are:

Maj Fennell is currently serving at Al Asad, Iraq in support of OIF. He is the Detachment Commander for a Colorado U.S. Marine Corps Reserve unit, MACS-23, stationed at Buckley AFB, Aurora, CO. He was activated to active duty May and deployed to Iraq in July. Most of the 73 Marines in his detachment are Colorado natives or residents and a handful are CSU and CU students and alumni.
