RamNation Forums2004 Awards and Rankings: Top 65 Rankings
Return to Ranking & Awards History Homepage
Top 25We'll start with our Top 25, counting backwards... 25. JediRam--The Force was with JediRam this year…not necessarily in frequency, but certainly in the quality of his posts. Jedi has hosted numerous CSU football coaches at the local golf course in which he works, and with his newfound friendships has been able to get inside scoops/insights and pass them along to the Ram masses. He is probably the most infrequent poster to make our Top 25 rankings this year. But, it's not so much about quantity as it is quality, and Jedi certainly brings that. He's also a regular listener to the all-sports 1410 KIIX radio station, and is able to recap interesting interviews and comments made on that show, which helps keep Ram fans who are outside of 1410's airwaves in the know. This is his first visit to the Top 25. He took 36th in 2003. 24. Fort Freak Geek--This solid poster was on the outside looking in during last year's rankings, finishing a heart-wrenching No. 26. He hung in tough though and came back strong with a solid year to squeak under the wire. He's a well-rounded poster, who shows interest in all Ram sports. In fact, during the 2004 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Geek posted as much as humanly possible to keep Ram fans in tune with how CSU's athletes were faring. He also partakes in women's basketball topics, and other non-revenue sports, as well as everyone's favorites--football and basketball. He's particularly knowledgeable in basketball and seemingly does most of his posting during that time of year. He is also knowledgeable of teams around the Mountain West Conference. This Geek's first visit to the Top 25. 23. praisesonny--Has turned into one of our most frequent posters--not only on the main board, but also on our General Discussion Board. In fact, he earned extra points for his regular participation on the GDB. He's a highly opinionated poster who can often be found mixing it up with good friend Nagy Ram and others in heated discussions of politics. He's the kind of guy who wears his heart on his sleeve…just going about his business with posts, until someone ticks him off to the point where he snaps---which is generally pretty humorous. Praisesonny is an avid football fan and offers most of his contributions during football season, although he engages in other conversations in other months. He's smart, funny, and a little edgy--which combine to make him one of the most entertaining posters on the board. This is his first appearance in the Top 25, after landing No. 54 last year. 22. aggieram76--Aggie made an incredible jump this year after never having been ranked in the Top 65 or Honorable Mention. He had a very solid 2003-04 becoming a welcome voice of reason for Ram athletics. Being a 1976 graduate, he has a better historical perspective on Ram athletic programs than the typical RamNation demographic. He's smart and consistently has great interesting, thought-provoking things to say. He is the type of poster that when you see his handle, you make sure to read his post. 21. Mountain Ram--It's been a long time coming for Mountain Ram to crack the Top 25. He has been a strong poster for several years now (finished No. 44 last year, No. 37 in 2002, and No. 55 in 2001 [then posting under the name SoCal Ram]). We like him because he's a well-spoken, opinionated poster who gets to the point and doesn't engage in mindless dribble that can often plague the board. He is valuable during sports conversations, but often finds himself compelled to argue his case on non-topic items as well. He's always had these good qualities, but posted with more frequency this year to significantly vault himself in the rankings. 20. RambleOn--Ramble continues to keep his presence in our Top 25 due to his in-depth knowledge of the football program, as well as CSU's recruiting efforts. Once our go-to guy for all recruiting info until his graduate schooling got in the way, he is still a great source of information for Ram recruiting info--past, present, and future. He is a very knowledgeable football fan in general and brings good insights to all Ram fans. He commonly discusses player personnel issues and seemingly knows the football roster like the back of his hand, which is a great asset to have on the board. RambleOn is also one of the most even-keel posters we have, rarely engaging in mindless smack-talking, and always keeping a light-hearted nature about himself. This latest ranking keeps RambleOn's ranking streak alive, as he's now made the Top 25 four years in a row: No. 13 in 2003, No. 10 in 2002, and No. 20 in 2001. 19. Horn-E (who has since changed his name to "I'm Your Huckleberry")--He doesn't post daily, and is one of our most infrequent posters to crack the Top 25, but, he's had countless gems throughout the course of the year that have been good enough to catch our eye. With Horn-E, it's all about the quality, not quantity. He writes poems, he writes songs, he handicaps the RamNation rankings, etc. He's a creative genius that puts significant time and thought into his posts that has had us rolling with laughter on occasion. When he's not being a comedian, he knows his sports, and brings informational value to the community. This is his first visit to the Top 25 after narrowly missing in 2002 at No. 27. 18. le alpe de huez--Poopy, as many Ram fans like to call him, won't be a popular selection to the Top 25. Ram fans' stomachs will churn every time they see this Buff fan with a #25 icon next to his name for the next year. But, here's why we like him: He understands that sports are a game, and doesn't take things too seriously. About 95 percent of his posts are good-natured, funny posts--even when they're jabs at CSU. This leg-shaving cycling lover is one of the few gifted image linkers, and often finds gems to include in his posts. Overall, the content in his posts don't really bring any informational value to the board, but they certainly provide entertainment/humor. With his selection, it is the first time in RamNation history that two Buffs have cracked the prestigious Top 25. 17. RAM SMITH--Much like his partner in crime, 80sramfan, RAM SMITH is a quality asset for the board at times, but other times, his daily crusade against CU brought down his overall rating. Of course, it's a double-edged sword. His efforts at keeping the Boulderites down earned him a share of the Buff Hater award…but his devotion in that area took away from his qualities in other capacities. Sans the constant anti-CU rhetoric, RAM SMITH, like 80sramfan, would likely be a Top 10-15 member. Still, RAM SMITH has his great moments, and has written some very creative, outstanding posts that can cause you to laugh out loud. Also, just when you think he's callous and overly obsessed with CU, he posts a heart-warming story about his trip to the ballpark with his son or something along those lines that shows what a good person he truly is. Good or bad, you can always count on RAM SMITH being on the board day in and day out. His consistent presence, and semi-consistent quality, earned him his second-straight year in the Top 25, taking No. 25 last year. 16. RamSack--RamSack also provided a little-known, but very valuable feature to RamNation this year, developing a basketball opponents' database that listed each opponent's RPI, rankings, record, etc. It's obvious that his true passion is basketball, and he particularly comes alive during basketball season with great comments, insights, and opinions. Not only that, he has an interest in basketball recruiting, and has often dug up several basketball recruiting stories that he's found across the World Wide Web. His tidbits of information and obscure links bring great value to Ram fans. Sack returns to the Top 25 for the first time since 2001, when he finished 14th. He barely missed the past two years, finishing No. 30 last year, and No. 28 in 2002. 15. cuscks2--This poster strongly came onto the scene over the course of the past year, which put him in the running for rookie of the year. He has become a regular contributor and a daily visitor to the board, providing a variety of assets. Most importantly, he is an experienced coach in a variety of sports at the high school level, and knows sports inside and out, which enables him to provide a valuable perspective to the RamNation message board. He's intelligent, but when he's in his playful mood, can also get a little goofy, and even talk some pretty good smack. He's a staunch CSU supporter, but also isn't afraid to voice his negative opinions when they arise. Overall, he provides good content, opinions, insight, and humor to the board. He has also taken on the Ram masses head on with issues he disagrees with, which is nice to see out of a still relatively green poster. 14. BlueH20BaboonFarm--Baboon is one of the most quality argumentative posters on the board. He has his opinions, states them, and sticks to his guns. He is one of the few regular "dissenters", who like to go against the popular opinion, and it often sparks good conversation with the RamNation regulars. He's not a pat-you-on-your-butt-type poster…he'll argue with you, but do so with a tactful nature. Baboon is knowledgeable in both football and basketball, so he's a consistent, year-round poster. He's also witty and enjoyable to read. Baboon is a regular contributor to our General Discussion Board. Who else would be there to keep alive the soccer talk? This is his second Top 25 finish, after landing No. 18 last year. He also finished No. 30 in 2002. 13. OC Ram--A former Ram football player from the Earl Bruce era, OC Ram is extremely valuable to the rest of us fans, as he can shed light on the football program in ways many of us can't. He has a particular interest in coaching, schemes, and the overall X's and O's, which is what we love to read. We enjoy the meat-and-potatoes-type posts, particularly in a year like this that has involved so much conversation about off-the-field issues. OC likes to challenge popular opinion, and often forces us to re-think our own opinions. He is a former teammate of TxRam, who also is a frequent contributor…but OC Ram posts with a lot more frequency, and thus earned a higher ranking. He finished just outside the Top 25 last year at No. 32, and was No. 18 in 2002, so this is his second appearance in the elite 25. 12. Ram-a-lamb-a-ding-dong--Ram-a-lamb-a-ding-dong had a banner year in 2003-04. He could be found on the board on a near-daily basis, as his handle typically peppered the board. He could quite possibly be the second-most frequent poster, behind only JoeybtherealAD. Ding-dong started one of the longest threads in site history (on light beer). What he may be most remembered for--and no, it is not his Quasi-Daily Husker Humper Insults posts--is his barrage of posts while giving fellow RamNationers the play-by-play recount of the CSU vs. UNLV basketball game this past season. It set a record for most posts by a single person in a two-hour span. Ding Dong does tend to get overly caught up in anti-CU rhetoric, which detracts from his overall performance, and partakes in a little smack talk here and there, but his overall effort is strong and he provides entertainment value to the board. It's his first-ever visit to the Top 25, as he finished No. 51 last year. 11. Buffsin2004--Bi04 is one of the few Buff fans who has been here over the long haul, and not just been here, but contributed significantly to the board. He has always lingered in our rankings, last year finishing No. 28, and two years ago finishing No. 23--becoming the first-ever Buff poster to crack the Top 25. (#11fan became the second last year, ranking No. 23). Even in a realm of hostility, Bi04 typically keeps a level head and always acts courteous to Ram posters, even when they may not return the favor. He is a Buff fan true and true, but grew up in Fort Collins and has an excellent grasp on the history of CSU athletics, which he often shares on the board. As Ram fans, we love to take delight when CU athletics go bad, but with good guys like Bi04 around, it takes a little of that enjoyment out of it. 10. Zjb58--Z is Our only student to crack the Top 25 this year, which is a rare feat. Students typically have more important things to do (drink beer, party, study, drink beer) than post on a message board, but Zjb obviously has a passionate interest in the Rams. He is a reporter for CTV, and is well versed in CSU athletics. For a young pup, Zjb has a wealth of knowledge about college sports, and provides a point of view that we don't get very often. He's also wiser than his years, and has proven to be one of the more intelligent participants we have. We do have many students who regularly visit RamNation, but none of them post as frequent or with as much quality as Zjb. This is his first-ever visit to the RamNation rankings. 9. CSU Prof--Every year, a poster or two fall through the cracks. After all, when you're analyzing thousands of posters, it's tough to keep track of every single one. CSU Prof was one of those people who fell through the cracks last year, and was not listed among our Top 65 or even honorable mention. We assure you, that was a mere oversight, as he is annually one of the top contributors to RamNation. He's one of our biggest basketball supporters, and often shares interesting insights in basketball. But, he also knows other sports, and is one of the most passionate, opinionated fans on the site. CSU Prof is well-deserving of a spot in our Top 25--his first ever visit to our Top 65, much less the Top 10. 8. Stalwart Ram--Stalwart again proves that he's the cream of the crop. He is a such a well-rounded poster, who in any given day can be hilarious, sarcastic, intelligent, analytical, or critical. To top it off, he's annually one of our most consistent battlers of CU posters. He rarely gets nasty though, often choosing to be a sarcastic smart-alec most of the time. To show how good he is, this year's No. 8 ranking was a significant drop compared to his three consecutive Top 5 performances since 2001. (He was the runner-up poster in 2001, top-ranked poster in 2002, No. 4 last year.) Even in the pre-RamNation days, he was a Top 5 finisher. In other words, Stalwart Ram is a stalwart in our annual rankings. And, as we pointed out last year, he has left a lasting mark on this website community through his refusal to call the University of Colorado by its common name (instead using the seemingly demeaning term "ucb" for University of Colorado--at Boulder). That term has become widely used by Ram fans on the RamNation message board. Overall, Stalwart is one of the best posters we've ever had on this website. 7. Bunsbuggy--If I were to poll the audience, probably half would cheer and half would jeer at this selection. Buns burst onto the scene this year and instantly started in with his Jim Rome schtick. (i.e., "We'll all miss you Dexter Wynn."-signed nobody." As a fan of "The Jungle" myself (the slang term for Jim Rome's radio show) I instantly became a Buns fan, and often found myself laughing out loud and spitting coffee all over my keyboard. After his arrival, the ensuing months turned into a "signed by" craze, with many people ending their posts signed by any name other than their own. But, what Buns truly did was bring some lighthearted humor back into the website. Granted, he had his bad moments. There was the time when he posted a picture of a woman in a thong despite the entire board being warned by RamNation staff to eliminate pictures of half-naked women. That earned him probation, and sent him into hiding for a few weeks. There was also the time he expressed his displeasure about Ram cornerback Dexter Wynn, to which former RamNation Top 25 member "Brother of Future" took great exception to, and consequentially "retired" from the message board. But, overall, he has demonstrated both humor, and sports talk, which earned him Rookie of the Year honors and a spot in our Top 10. 6. Tweeter---Our resident recruiting specialist is probably our most popular poster. When he posts, people read. Tweeter knows all when it comes to CSU recruiting. His specialty is identifying future football prospects and analyzing current player personnel, and that's typically his main focus on the board. He doesn't post as often as many of our Top 10 finishers, but his posts always involve information that we all crave, and thus, we are thankful for his presence on the board. Tweeter has finished in the Top 25 each of his three years on the board. 5. CAMotion--This selection demonstrates that you don't have to be a CSU homer to be a valuable community member in RamNation. CAMotion, a longtime 'Nationer recently became perturbed with the CSU athletic department for a variety of reasons. And, as you all know, he has regularly made his displeasure known amongst the masses on the RamNation message board. While we don't always agree with his opinions, the RamNation staff respects them, and more than that, we welcome them. Dissenting opinions are extremely valuable. They challenge the common way of thinking and help to provoke change and improvement at all levels. True to his line of business (he's a lawyer), CAMotion is a poster who likes to engage in thought-provoking conversations and debates. His posts often result in long, meaningful threads, which improve the quality of a message board. Regardless of his dissention, CAMotion is the kind of guy that CSU is lucky to have as a fan and booster, because, at the end of the day, he still bleeds green and gold. He also goes above and beyond being a fan. He has led several RamNation fundraisers, which have enabled us as a community to provide athletic department staff and coaches with gifts of thanks and recognition. CAMotion had a bit of an identity crisis earlier this year, changing his name to the Bruce of Earle, but is now back to the familiar CAMotion. His No. 6 finish is quite a step up from his first-ever Top 25 appearance last year--at No. 20. 4. DOC--We encountered a new, more agitated Doc in 2003-04. Once a staunch backer with hardly a nay-say to be found, Doc has let his negative feelings show much more this year, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. We'll call the new version of Doc "Doc Reloaded". Doc is one of the most intelligent posters we have, with insightful thoughts and opinions on all Ram topics. He's a consistent performer who participates year-round and has been a solid member of our rankings for the past three years, including finishes of No. 11 last year, No. 8 in 2002 and No. 16 in 2001. In addition to his excellent knowledge of football and basketball, he's also a frequent contributor on women's sports topics. Doc is cementing himself in the history books as one of the best-ever posters on RamNation. 3. Go Duke--In just his second full year on the board, Go Duke has proven to be one of the powerhouses. When bunsbuggy offended him several months ago, and he went on a self-imposed hiatus, fellow Ram posters clamored for his return on the board. He did return weeks later, much to our delight/benefit. Go Duke is an extremely knowledgeable poster, with valuable insights, comments, and viewpoints. And, what makes him so likeable is that he is always courteous in his posts and rarely gets overly riled up to the point that he might cross the limits of indecency. He's got a great demeanor, and when combined with his superior knowledge of football, basketball, golf, and sports in general, that makes him a top-notch contributor to the board. Incredibly, in just two years of posting, he has No. 6 ranking (in 2003) and now a No. 3 ranking under his belt. 2. BVPforHeisman03--He may have an outdated handle, but he's up with the times when it comes to Ram athletics. He's perhaps the smartest poster on RamNation and it shows on a daily basis. He'll tell you that himself too. ;) BVP has laid out countless predictions over the past year, many of which have proved to come true, even when it appeared as though they were long shots, and when fellow Ram fans called him crazy for saying so. He won't let you forget either who was the first person to predict such a thing. While patting himself on the back incessantly and deeming his own opinions as gospel, BVP4H03 has a demeanor that is enjoyable. He expresses his opinions as matter of fact, but does it almost in a fun-loving, way so as not to offend or come off like a pompous ass. For instance, he correctly nailed the trifecta for the Kentucky Derby back in May, and while he begged the masses for his recognition, he did so with quotes from Caddyshack. During football season, his near-daily practice reports are typically the most detailed, enlightening posts you'll find, and our stats show it, as a large amount of people read them. Like Go Duke, BVP4H03 has turned into a RamNation powerhouse in just two years. He earned Rookie of the Year honors in 2003, and landed himself in the No. 3 position last year. He's slowly edging up to the top spot. Congratulations to all of you Top 25 members! To honor your achievement for the year, each of you are christened with the special Top 25 icon that will appear next to each poster's handle on the message board. This icon, which features a Ram's horn connected to the number 25, will signal to the RamNation community that this particular poster earned residency in the Top 25 for the year. Each Top 25 member will keep this icon for the year until the 2005 awards are released. At that point, the slate will be wiped clean, and everyone will have a shot at earning the honorary icon again. Congratulations, you've earned it. You also have a duty to prove RamNation staff right by selecting you to this list, so keep up the good work this year!
1. JoeyBtheRealAD--You either love him or hate him. Here at RamNation headquarters, we love him. He's the ultimate message boarder, constantly there, speaking his mind, stirring the pot, bringing up new ideas, making people laugh, driving people mad, and boldly making his opinions known. He wouldn't win the NHL's Lady Bing trophy for good sportsman ship (he doesn't always use couth in his posts), but he's a guy you can count on to provoke good conversations on an otherwise slow day. One thing you can count on, JoeyB is going to be on the board in any given day. I get emails saying, "Yo, Shep, what's this JoeyB character do for a living? The guy posts like 150 times/day!" Some days, you'd like to have a muzzle for him. He's the brash New York/New Jersey guy who doesn't shy away from anything. But when the day is done, Joey cares about CSU; he cares about RamNation. He has single-handedly been responsible for many minutes of free radio advertising, getting RamNation.com's name on KIIX 1410 AM during Hometown Heroes. He's the kind of guy who will talk about Donald Trump, The Bachelor, golf, cigars, etc. until someone screams at him: "Take it to the Off-topic Board!!!!", but then he'll reel us all back in with a big-time news scoop from his CSU inside source. His love-hate relationship with the athletic department aside, JoeyB is a fun-loving, outgoing guy who gets it when it comes to sports and sports message boards---they are meant to be fun. JBAD finished runner-up last year in his first full year of posting. Now, he's assumed the top spot. Congratulations on being the 2003-04 Top-Ranked Poster. Congratulations JoeyB! For your extraordinary efforts, you earn the most prestigious award known to man--The No. 1 icon. This icon, which features a Ram's horn connected the number 1, will appear next to your handle every time you post a message until the 2005 rankings come out in 2005. This icon symbolizes your status as the best poster in RamNation for the 2003-04 year! ======================= Near missesNo. 26: 80sramfan--Consider this a type of probation for 80s. He is a poster who clearly wanted to be in the Top 25 again this year, and vault even higher than his No. 21 finish from 2003. In truth, he probably deserved to be a Top 15 guy this year, as he posted with incredible regularity, and finished with a flurry in the weeks leading up to the rankings. But, ultimately, his CU obsession cost him a repeat entrance into the Top 25. 80s is a guy you like to have on a message board because he REALLY stirs things up, and sometimes in a controversial way. But, he was his own worst enemy over the past year as he crossed the line in several posts and forced us to reprimand him and ultimately deduct points from his year-long performance. He brought good value to the board at times, often posting interesting links, but his CU bashing--while earning him co-Buff hater award, also led to his downfall out of the prestigious Top 25 this year. That, combined with the whole "Postergate" episode from last fall (fault or no fault of his own), shed RamNation in a bad light among both CU and CSU administrators. Still, No. 26 is nothing to be ashamed of…he just won't have the horns icon to go with it. No. 27: RamMan--Running a start-up company can be pretty time-consuming. So, RamMan can be excused for his lack of consistent presence on the message board in recent months. However, it unfortunately cost him his place in the Top 25, which he has been among since we've been doing the rankings. RamMan is no doubt one of the top thinkers and contributors on this board. We look forward to the days when his company makes it big, so he can delegate work to other poor saps and spend his own time surfing RamNation. No 28: Ram_Buck--Despite his unbelievable talents in the kitchen with his Skyline Chili (that he has shared each of the last two years at the RamNation tailgate party), he just didn't post with enough regularity or punch this year to return to the Top 25. Ram_Buck is one of our personal favorites, always bringing insightful and well-thought-out posts. But it just wasn't his year. It's the first time in three years he hasn't landed in the elite 25. In this day and age of tougher competition, it requires a near-year-round performance to crack the Top 25. Ram_Buck still finished a solid 28. No. 29: JoninAZ--While historically proving to be one of our best posters, JoninAZ (formerly JoninLA) didn't quite live up to his standards this year. He's a guy who in the past has created several post-of-the-year-worthy efforts during the course of a year, and did have one in the running for Post of the Year. But in general, whatever reason, he didn't have as many masterpieces this year. He's still one of the best, and Top 30 is nothing to scoff at. No. 30: WhammyRammy--Whammy is our first-ever No. 1 champ to finish outside the Top 25 the following year. After being crowned No. 1 for 2003, he took a new job that required him to travel a lot and that severely reduced his RamNation posting time, and thus was hardly around in 2003-04. He still graced us with a few quality posts in his spare time, and came back strong in recent months, which along with his carry-over prestige from 2003 helped him climb near the Top 25. But the dropoff in production was just too severe to crack the elite 25. His near-100% absence over about a six-month span should have been enough to drop him out of the Top 100 but he's so strong when he is around that he deserved a place in the Top 30. No. 31: dRAMve--dRAMve is a stellar poster who lacked a little bit of the frequency needed to break into the Top 25. He finished No. 16 last year but was unable to sustain that success for a second consecutive year. dRAMve is a PM poster who was hampered a bit by having to post primarily at night when not as many people lurked on the board. Regardless of time of day, he still was a great contributor--just not as frequent as he used to be. No. 32: ramAZ--ramAZ, not to be confused with AZram (yes, it is confusing, isn't it? Now you all know what I'm dealing with!) is feisty poster who you'll find on the board quite a bit. He can affectionately be referred to as a smart-alec who likes to get the goat of CU opposing fans. No. 33: Horn Star--This was a tough break for a stalwart member of the rankings who had finished the past three years Nos. 14, 17, 23, respectively. His drop from the Top 25 wasn't so much lack of performance, just a rising of the tides from others. We hate leaving him out because he does more for this website than many people realize (he's the No. 1 backup for site management), and because we really enjoy his posts. But, it's a dog-eat-dog world. No. 34: Green & Gold--It's tough to leave out a charter member of RamNation, especially for a poster as good as Green & Gold…but his RamNation productivity dropped significantly this year (probably much to his employer's delight). He finished a personal-best No. 22 last year, but couldn't sustain it this year. Still an excellent contributor to the board. No. 35: NewportCoastRam--A devout Buff hater that shot himself in the foot with a little too much anti-CU rhetoric. He still was good for a lot of laughs and commentary in 2003-04. ======================= Others Receiving Votes (Top 26-65)
======================= Top 25 Dropouts from 2003No. 24: Dall Ram--This legend has faded a bit over the years, but still among the best with a No.. 36 finish. No. 23: #11fan--After his good friend BVP left CSU to become a Denver Bronco, #11fan's participation waned, but still managed to get into the Top 65 at No. No. 22: Green & Gold--Fell to No. 34 after cracking the Top 25 for the first time last year. No. 21: 80sramfan--Dropped to No. 26 after a controversial year. No. 20: CState--Minimal participation relegated him to the Honorable Mention list. No. 17:Ram_Buck--After a stellar run of three-straight years in the Top 25, Ram_Buck dropped to No. 28 this year. No. 16: dRAMve--Still was solid, but not solid enough, falling to No. 31 No. 15: SMARUSCOG--Welcome to fatherhood SMOG…it cuts into RamNation participation every time. SMOG dropped to No. 60. No. 14: Horn Star--For the first time in the history of the rankings, he dropped out of the Top 25, falling to No. 33. No. 13: SFBayCAM--After a banner year in 2003, a Hawaii-based job changed up SFBay's priorities. He dropped to No. 53. No. 10: NewportCoastRam--An average year dropped NCR to No. 35. No. 9: Brother of Future--One of the top posters of the past two years "retired" when there was too much negativity being spewed on the board. Fell all the way off the charts. No. 8: Ram Man--Running a start-up company will eat into RamNation time. Fell to No. 27. No. 5: JoninLA (now JoninAZ)--One of our great posters didn't live up to his usual billing. Still managed a solid No. 29. No. 1: WhammyRammy--Suffering the worst-ever drop for a former No. 1 poster, Whammy dropped all the way to No. 30, which was actually quite courteous, considering his lack of posting. That's what a new job and baby will do to a guy. Still his past performance carried him a bit to continue his respectability. ======================= Honorable MentionThe people on this list are solid posters. Each of them may have been great at times during the year, but maybe didn't sustain consistent posting quality or quantity to garner Top 65 status. Regardless, the people on this list have, at a minimum, made an impression on the Awards and Rankings committee, and thus deserved recognition. The list is in alphabetical order. #27sMrs, '97Ram, 6exRam0, 91RAMALUM, 93RAM, Adopt-O-Ram, Award, Battering-Ram, Big Apple Ram, ChicagoRamFan, Chi-town-ram, CHUCK, CO_Poke, CState, CSU97alumni, CSU Fizzer, CSURamFan, CTRamFan, Da'Rams!!, DallasRam1, Denali Ram (formerly GO STATE), DenverRam, Dodge, Drak, EvergreenRam, EZStreetRam, ForeverARam, FormerRam, GMillRamMan, GoCSU, GoRammies, G-RAMS10, greenandgold44, Gwebb, I_B_A_Ramfan, InTheBuff, IOWARAM, J-Ram, LA Ram, Lubick, M.C. Also, please keep in mind that we have more than 3,000 registered posters and tens of thousands of other people who read the board every month. So, to be mentioned in this listing is quite an accomplishment. Every now and then, a solid poster who probably should have made the Top 65 (or at least the Honorable Mention list) falls through the cracks as an oversight by the voting committee. For that, we apologize. If you did not make the list, it's likely due to infrequency of posting. There certainly are hundreds of additional posters that were under consideration, but we have to draw the line somewhere. Our advice is, improve your participation in 2004-05. Lastly…we just want to thank you all for spending your days and nights with us on RamNation. You are what makes this website so great. Remember to patronize Rams Bookstore and any of our other site sponsors.
