North Carolina wins the National Championship, and Littleton Ram rides them to his own victory

The North Carolina Tar Heels steamrolled through the NCAA Tournament, and Littleton Ram sealed the Rams Bookstore March Madness Contest title with their win over Michigan State in the National Championship game. Littleton Ram had one of the five brackets that correctly predicted three of the participants in the Final Four. He didn't have the correct teams placed in championship game, as he picked North Carolina over UConn, but he had amassed enough points throughout the pool that he was the runaway winner of the contest with a total of 153 points.

Big Country Ram finished in second place with 146 points. Like Littleton Ram, Big Country had three of the four Final Four teams pegged and actually had the correct pairing and result in the championship game. But he was hurt by having UCLA make the Final Four, and thus lost point potential. Jack's Second Fact took third place, with only two of four teams in the Final Four. Fortunately for him, the two were Michigan State and North Carolina, who he had picked in the championship game. He finished with 140 points, 4 points ahead of fourth-place finisher "Ram Fan".

The contest results could have turned out much differently had Michigan State pulled off the upset over North Carolina in the championship game. CSURamFan would have been the contest winner with 134 points, RaisedGreen&Gold would have finished second with 129, and ramsacked2 would have taken third with 128 points. Littleton Ram would have finished in fourth place and out of the prizes.

Winners should email RamNation staff to arrange collecting your store credit to Rams Bookstore. Thank you again for playing, and we'll see you again in the fall for the Rams Bookstore Pigskin Pick'em Contest!
